"Crowning" the Greater Portland Area

We are a local preliminary pageant for the Miss America Organizaiton. As such we are a community centered organizaiton providing an academically challenging arena that enables women of diverse backgrounds the opportunity to transform the world with intelligence, compassion, courage and conviction. 

The Miss America Organization is one of the nation's leading achievement programs and the world's largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women. Last year, the Miss America Organization and its state and local organizations made available more than $45 million in cash and scholarship assistance. This assistance is not just for the handful of young women who become Miss America, but is available to the over 12, 000 young women who compete in the state and local competition as well.

 

	Our titleholders are active members in their communities. These ladies worked a women-only Habitat For Humanity project in SE Portland.
Many of our titleholders become involved in community service organizations, promoting community awareness for a wide range of social and educational issues.
